Fresno Anaerobic Treatment Plant

This design-build project consisted of the design, construction, and commissioning of a 2.4 MGD anaerobic pretreatment system facility in partnership with Siemens Water Technologies (now Evoqua).The Owner, needed this facility to pretreat their process wastewater before discharge to the POTW. GSE and Siemens Water Technologies collaborated with the owner to ensure a successful project both in terms of wastewater compliance and recovery of methane as a fuel source for existing boilers. The new greenfield facility included two BioPaq IC High Rater Anerobic Reactors, ThioPaq Biological  Sulfur Removal System, 950SCFM Unison Biogas Chiller/Dryer, Varec Enclosed Flare, Zabocs Odor Control, Equalization and Post Oxidation Tanks.  The ancillary facilities include chemical storage, pump stations, aeration blowers, MCC building with a control room.
